Program Overview
Our Personal Support Worker certificate program prepares you to provide care for patients and clients who require ongoing, daily assistance. You will learn to assist with nutritional needs, personal hygiene, household management, mobility, meal preparation, medication management and more. You will also learn to provide support to patients and their families, to identify and report signs of abuse and neglect, to assist with walking, movement and positioning, to check and record vital signs and to recognize symptoms of mental health issues. Personal support workers are in greater demand than ever, making this a promising long-term career path for those who are interested in working in the health care sector.
